9/22/2023 0 Comments Buy dead island 2I will make my own mind up tomorrow when it releases because I've had reviewers call some of my favorite games average or even trash. So its clear that it helps devs more then people make it out to be.Īs far as Dead Island itself, imo the originals were 7-8/10 as well because they had many flaws and janky aspects, but there is still no zombie slaying game that captures the feel of the dead island games, which is what their some of my favorite. If going with Epic exclusively was such a failed venture (as steam players claim it is) then bigger companies/publishers would have stopped taking the money a long time ago, and all I see is it happening more often. Its how the world works, and steam does the same things in different aspects, its just business even if you dislike it. If one store will offer guaranteed profits and another is not guaranteed, which would you choose (as a business)? Obviously you would go the route of guaranteed profit. I highly doubt anyone here is a master of economics and knows the in and outs of the choices a company should make to capitalize on profits (i'm not, I'm just a gamer lol). If it would had made them most money they would have released it on both platforms, but clearly that was not the case because they choose EGS. If they had been smart they would have launched it simultaneously on both steam and epic games which would have made them the most money. Just a bad choice from deepsilver and dambuster to make it an epic exclusive for a year. Originally posted by chaoszan:Have watched reviews and it seems like a solid 7/10 game. Yea it sounds like the epic version of ff7 was the beta test, and that they fixed most of it before steam release. I wonder what the state of the PC release of dead island 2 is because from the reviews I've seen it runs great on consoles. Many of the games that take the epic deal seem to be rushed releases. Heck even UBIsoft is moving the majority of its stuff to Steam except the latest titles finally admitting their service isn't going so well. Epic is horrible but it does give out free games which I collect but never use lol hope that helps them waste money faster. All the bugs will most likely be patched by the time it comes to steam.Īs of now its the Only Epic game I have ever bought and will ever buy. Even to this day if I test the Epic vs Steam version the Steam one runs better.Īs of now its the Only Epic game I have ever bought and will ever buy. But I must admit I did first buy it on Epic before as I did not know it was a timed exclusive. When it released on Epic it was atrocious but on Steam its been issue free for me. We got the Intergrade version and most of the bugs are gone and it runs better than the Epic version. Yep this worked out for the best for the FF7 Remake. All the bugs will most likely be patched by the time it comes to steam.Įpic at some point will not be able to bribe companies anymore and I look forward to that day. Yup I'll let the people who buy it on epic test the game for us. Gives them time to kinda polish DI2 before they dump it on us here. In the meantime, im glad because I have plenty of other games that I haven't jumped into yet. Their money gotta run out at some point, right?
